BIOGEST builds first BIOP own plant operation biomethane plant in Italy

OWN PLANT OPERATION WITH BIOP
VIENNA, AUSTRIA / COLLARMELE, ITALY: biogest started the construction of its first BIOP own plant operation biomethane plant in Italy. BIOP is the new brand of the BIOGEST Group, specializing in the development, construction, and operation of own plant operation (OPO) facilities as an active shareholder.
The new project, Collarmele, is located in L’Aquila, Italy, and converts 73,000 tonnes/year of chicken manure and vegetable waste (fennels, carrots, and potatoes) into 500 Nm³/h of biomethane, utilizing BIOGEST PowerRing and PowerDigest technology. The project includes a CO2 liquefaction units.
